Simone Maher - Director & Senior Physiotherapist

Physiotherapist holding baby

Simone has over 15 years experience working with infants and children and their families. She has a wealth of experience across a range of paediatric conditions, ages and sub-speciliaties, but has a particular focus on the motor development and wellbeing of infants. Simone has provided expert care and support for families and children in acute hospital settings, working at a number of metropolitan hospitals in Melbourne, including the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s Hospital. She is currently the Senior Physiotherapist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Mercy Hospital for Women, providing acute care and support for fragile and unwell babies.

Simone has worked in a number of roles providing direct care in the community and home setting for infants and young children. This has included a consulting role for babies and children with complex disability and the provision of Physiotherapy services for children directly discharged home from hospital with complex care needs.

Simone has appreciation for the delivery of healthcare both within an acute and community framework. She offers home, community and clinic appointments, providing therapy and support in an environment that suits you and your child.

When Simone is not working you will find her outdoors with her partner and three young boys.
